      Among the world leaders' meetings at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in China, the most talked about is the meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The North Korean leader came to China to attend the Victory Day parade, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, among other world leaders.

On Wednesday, a video of two members of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's security detail cleaning the chair on which Kim Jong-un was sitting during his meeting with Russian President Putin went viral in a conference hall in Beijing.

After meeting with the Russian president, North Korean security guards were seen cleaning not only the chair but also the table next to it with disinfectant spray.

The coffee cup that Kim Jong-un touched is also picked up  

‘He has no evidence’

Before sitting down for another summit with Yutton in 2023, his security team also disinfected the chair and conducted a rigorous check to ensure it was safe.

Also in 2018, during Kim Jong-un’s meeting with the then South Korean president, security personnel disinfected a chair and desk before Kim sat down.

Some experts believe that the North Korean leader does not want to leave any trace of his mysterious personality and DNA. Any evidence that could provide information about his health, age or personality is erased.

His armored train, which he travels on, is also in the news, and he has been seen disappearing from the world’s eyes for days.

Security threats

In October last year, North Korea's spy agency told lawmakers that Kim Jong-un could be assassinated, which is being done to prevent foolproof security arrangements.

According to the spy agency, Kim Jong-un's security included communication jamming devices and drone detection systems.

According to the agency, Kim Jong-un was seen in public places 60 percent more often in 2024 than last year.

The agency did not say who Kim Jong-un was threatened by, but the development came at a time when the US Department of Defense Pentagon revealed that North Korea had sent 10,000 of its troops to Russia to fight in Ukraine.

Kim Jong-un is attending an event where other world leaders are also present with him for the first time.

Kim Jong-un arrived in China on Tuesday in his armored train to attend the parade. When he arrived, when guards and officials in uniform were welcoming him, his daughter Kim Jo-ae was seen standing behind her father.

South Korea's official intelligence agency says that the daughter of the North Korean leader is being seen as his possible 'successor'.

Kim Jong-un has always kept his family very far from the eyes of the world and secretive, which is why very little information is available about his family. Even his wife Ri Sol came to the public eye long after she married Kim Jong-un.

However, many details regarding other members of his family are still a mystery.

"We know that Kim Jong-un has half-brothers, one of whom was killed in Malaysia in 2017," says Dr. Howell, an expert on North Korea affairs.

Kim Jong-un's father is thought to have had at least four partners in his life, but his relationships with them were largely kept out of the public eye.

Kim Jong-un's mother, Ko Young-hui, was born in  Japan and came to North Korea in the 1960s to work as a dancer.

She was said to be Kim Jong-il's favorite wife.

In 2018, photographs of Ko Young-hui were found, taken during a visit to Japan in 1973.
